Tips for better results
Keep names short for readable labels
First names fit the wheel best; long entries are shortened to stay legible.
Turn on remove after spin for fair turns
Each pick leaves the wheel, so no one is chosen twice until you reset.
Use history to track who has gone
The winner history shows the order of picks at a glance.
Paste a whole class list at once
One name per line is the fastest way to load your class.
Use the group generator for teams
When you need balanced teams instead of one winner, use the random group generator.
Use the name picker for a simpler draw
If you prefer a calm pick without a wheel, the random name picker draws names too.
How the classroom spinner works
You type or paste a list of names or items, one per line. The spinner trims spaces, drops blank lines, and can remove duplicates, then draws each segment of the wheel in a warm, easy-to-read color.
When you spin, the wheel turns and slows to a stop on one segment, and that segment is the winner. The pick is made fairly from the current items, and the segment that lands under the pointer is always the one that is announced. If remove after spin is on, the winner leaves the wheel and is added to the history, so you can draw through a whole class. Reset restores your full list at any time. If you prefer less motion, the wheel respects your reduced-motion setting and reveals the result calmly.
There is no AI and no internet call. Everything runs in your browser, so your names and items are never uploaded or stored. You can also print the list as a simple handout.
Private by design
- No account and no sign-up. Just open it and start.
- Everything runs on your device, so the wheel title and the names or items you type, along with the winner history during your session stays with you.
- Nothing you create is uploaded. No values, names, scores, or generated content are sent to our servers.
- We use Google Analytics only for basic, anonymous pageview counts. It never receives what you enter into the tool.
Frequently asked questions

Can I paste a list of student names?

Can I use it as a random name wheel?

No. It does not use AI. The spinner runs in your browser and picks from the items you enter.
Can I print the list?
Yes. You can print or download a simple branded PDF of your items and the winner history.
Is this the same as other spinner wheel sites?
