Tips for better results

  • Start with one region

Focusing on a single region first keeps flags and capitals from feeling overwhelming.

  • Try Guess the Flag before Capital Challenge

Flag recognition is usually the fastest win, and it builds the country-name familiarity the other modes need.

  • Use Country Challenge to check real recall

Working backward from a capital to its country is a strong test of whether the pairing has really stuck.

  • Finish with Mixed World Challenge

Mixing all three modes across the whole world is a good check that a region has really been learned.

Under the hood

How the flags & capitals game works

Every round draws from a curated, practical set of well-known, undisputed countries across five regions, so the game never asks an ambiguous or disputed-territory question.

Guess the Flag shows a flag and asks for the matching country. Capital Challenge shows a country and asks for its capital. Country Challenge reverses that, showing a capital and asking for the country. Mixed World Challenge randomly combines all three in one round.

Choosing a region filters every question to that region's countries, so the four answer options always stay regionally coherent; World Mix draws from every region at once.
