When this is useful

Times table reference

Print a completed chart for desks, folders, or a math wall so students always have it handy.

Recall practice

Use a blank chart for students to fill in from memory and build times-table fluency.

Mixed review

Use a partial chart that gives some answers and hides others for a balanced practice page.

Warm-ups and homework

Hand out a quick chart at the start of class or for homework to keep facts fresh.

Math centers and early finishers

Keep a stack of practice charts at a math center or for students who finish early.

Test prep and substitute plans

Review facts before a quiz, or leave self-explanatory charts with an answer key for a substitute.

In practice

Examples to try

A 10 by 10 multiplication chart

Print the classic completed chart for younger learners as a desk reference.

A 12 by 12 times table chart

Use the standard 12 by 12 grid for full times-table practice and reference.

A blank multiplication chart

Give students an empty grid to fill in from memory, then check with the answer key.

A partial practice chart

Hide about half the answers for a quick mixed-review page that isn't too easy or too hard.

A multiplication answer key

Turn on the answer key so blanks are filled in and highlighted for fast grading.

Tips for better results

  • Use 10 by 10 for younger learners

A smaller grid is less overwhelming and covers the facts most early students need.

  • Use 12 by 12 for classic practice

The 12 by 12 chart is the traditional times-table range for elementary students.

  • Use blank charts for recall

Filling an empty grid from memory is one of the best ways to build fact fluency.

  • Use partial charts for mixed review

Partial charts keep practice balanced, with enough answers to support and enough blanks to challenge.

  • Print the answer key separately

The PDF puts the answer key on its own page, so you can keep it apart from the student copy.

  • Laminate or use dry erase pockets

Reusable charts let students practice again and again without reprinting.

Under the hood

How the multiplication chart generator works

Choose a size and the tool builds the full times table, with each cell equal to its row times its column. Header numbers run along the top and down the side so students can read each fact.

A completed chart shows every product. A blank chart hides them all for recall practice. A partial chart hides a share of the answers based on the difficulty you pick: easy hides fewer, standard hides about half, and challenge hides most. Partial charts are shuffled, so each Regenerate gives a fresh mix while the answer key always matches.

Everything is generated on your device, so you can print as many charts as you like, instantly and for free. Turn on the answer key for blank and partial charts to make grading quick.

Frequently asked questions

Is the multiplication chart generator free?

Yes, completely free, with no account and no limit on how many charts you make. There's no watermark on the printed chart.

Can I print a multiplication chart?

Yes. Use the Print button to send the chart straight to your printer. Only the chart prints, cleanly laid out, with nothing else from the web page.

Can I download a PDF?

Yes. Download a clean PDF built right on your device, with the chart on the first page and, when enabled, an answer key on its own page.

Can I make a blank multiplication chart?

Yes. Choose the blank type for an empty grid with header numbers, ready for students to fill in from memory.

Can I make a 12 by 12 times table chart?

Yes. Pick the 12 by 12 size for the classic times-table grid. You can also choose 10 by 10, 15 by 15, or 20 by 20.

Does it include an answer key?

Yes. For blank and partial charts you can include an answer key page that fills in and highlights the practiced cells so grading is fast.

Are chart settings uploaded or saved anywhere?

No. The chart is built entirely on your device, and the PDF is created there too, so your settings and charts are never uploaded or stored on a server.

What size multiplication chart should I use?

A 10 by 10 chart suits younger learners, and 12 by 12 is the classic times-table range. Use 15 by 15 or 20 by 20 for older students or extended practice.
