Every pictograph states its key up front, like 'each icon = 2 books' — count icons, then multiply.
Read comparison questions carefully
'How many more' and 'what is the difference' ask for the gap between two categories, not either category's raw value.
Use the chart, not a guess
Every answer can be found directly in the chart shown — the questions never require outside information.

How the graph detective works
Each round generates one dataset (a set of categories and values from a themed pool like fruits, pets, or weather) and renders it as either a bar chart or a pictograph.
Every question is computed directly from that same dataset's numbers — nothing is asked that the chart can't answer, and the exact-arithmetic answer key can never drift out of sync with what's drawn.
Pictograph values are always exact multiples of the stated key, so icon counts are never ambiguous or split into confusing partial icons.
