Math Match Blitz
Play a free, fast-paced math matching game across addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Unlike a memory game, every card is visible from the start: tap an expression on the left, then tap its matching answer on the right, and race to clear the whole board. Five grade levels change the number ranges, operations, and board size, with no sign-up and nothing saved.
Math Match Blitz is a speed-matching arcade game, not a hidden-card memory game: every expression and answer is on screen at once, so the challenge is scanning and comparing quickly rather than remembering where a card was. Every board guarantees a unique answer for every expression, so there's never an ambiguous match.
Not a test — nothing is saved after you leave.
Ready for a speed match?
Tap an expression, then tap its matching answer. Clear the board as fast as you can.
How to use the math match blitz
- 1Choose a grade level and a mode — Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, or Mixed.
- 2Tap an expression on the left, then tap the answer on the right that matches it.
- 3A correct match clears both cards; a wrong pair flashes and resets so you can try again.
- 4Clear every pair to finish, then check your time, score, and mistakes.
When this is useful
Fast fact recall under light pressure
Builds quick recognition of operation results, a different skill from slowly computing an answer from scratch.
Mixed-operation practice
Mixed mode puts addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the same board, so students must recognize the operation, not just recall a table.
Classroom speed rounds
A quick, timed activity that works well as a warm-up or early-finisher task.
Grade-aware difficulty
Board size and number ranges scale automatically with the selected grade.
Complement to slower fact practice
Pairs well with untimed tools like the Math Facts game for students who want both a calm and a fast practice mode.
Examples to try
Grade 1: 3-pair board
Small, single-digit addition and subtraction on a compact board.
Grade 3: adds multiplication & division
A 5-pair board mixing all four operations, with integer-only division.
Grade 5: 6-pair board, hardest range
The widest number ranges and largest board size.
Tips for better results
Scan both columns before tapping
Since every card is already visible, a quick scan of likely answers is faster than tapping and checking one at a time.
Mixed mode changes the operation every card
Read each expression's symbol carefully — the operation changes from card to card, not just the numbers.
A wrong pair doesn't cost the board
Mismatches just flash and reset, so it's safe to make a fast guess and adjust.
Try Division mode once multiplication feels solid
Division facts reuse the same number families in reverse, a natural next step after multiplication.
How the math match blitz works
Every board is generated from a grade-scoped number range with a guarantee that no two expressions and no two answers repeat on the same board — a repeated answer would make two matches ambiguous, so the generator rejects and retries until every value is unique.
Mixed mode draws each expression's operation independently, so the same board can mix addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division cards.
Division cards are always built from an exact whole-number quotient, so a division match never requires a fraction or decimal answer.
Private by design
- No account and no sign-up. Just open it and start.
- Everything runs on your device, so the cards you tap and your game settings stays with you.
- Nothing you create is uploaded. No values, names, scores, or generated content are sent to our servers.
- We use Google Analytics only for basic, anonymous pageview counts. It never receives what you enter into the tool.
Frequently asked questions
Is this math matching game free?
Yes, completely free, with no account and no limit on how many boards you play. There are no ads.
How is this different from a memory-style matching game?
Every card is visible from the start — there's no flipping or remembering hidden positions. The challenge is quickly comparing expressions to their answers.
What operations does it cover?
Addition and subtraction from Grade 1, with multiplication, division, and a Mixed mode added starting at Grade 3.
Can two different expressions ever have the same answer on one board?
No. Every board is checked so every answer value is unique, which keeps every match unambiguous.
Does this use AI?
No. Every board and match check runs on deterministic logic in your browser. It does not use AI.
Does the game work well on a tablet or phone?
Yes. Cards are large tap targets arranged in two columns that fit narrow screens.
Are scores saved?
No. Your score, time, and session best stay in your browser for the current session and are cleared when you leave the page.
