Angles Worksheet Generator
Make a printable angles worksheet in seconds: name acute, right, obtuse, straight and reflex angles, measure angles on a drawn protractor, and work out missing angles on a line, in a triangle or around a point. Every figure is drawn to scale, with an answer key.
Choose what to practice and a level, then print or download the PDF. Easy keeps to acute, right and obtuse angles in tens; Standard adds straight angles, the protractor's outer scale and triangles; Challenge adds reflex angles, rays that don't start at 0 and angles around a point.
Adds straight angles, angles in fives, the outer scale, vertically opposite angles and triangles.
PDF puts the answer key on its own page.

What are the types of angles?
An angle is the turn between two rays that meet at a point, the vertex. It is measured in degrees: a full turn is 360°.
An acute angle is less than 90°, a right angle is exactly 90° (marked with a small square), an obtuse angle is between 90° and 180°, a straight angle is exactly 180°, and a reflex angle is more than 180°.
Angles on a straight line add up to 180°, angles in a right angle to 90°, the angles of a triangle to 180° and the angles around a point to 360°. Vertically opposite angles are equal.
How to use the angles worksheet generator
- 1Choose the practice: name the angle, measure with a protractor, find the missing angle, or a mixed sheet with all three.
- 2Pick a level. The note under the menus says exactly what it adds.
- 3Choose how many problems, and keep or remove the answer key and the name and date line.
- 4Press Regenerate worksheet for a different set, then print or download the PDF. The key prints on its own page.
When this is useful
Introducing angle types
Start with the Easy naming sheet, where every angle is acute, right or obtuse and drawn with one horizontal ray.
Learning to use a protractor
The measuring sheet draws a full double-scale protractor under each angle, so students practice choosing the right scale before using a real one.
Angle facts
The missing-angle sheet practices the facts behind most geometry: straight line, right angle, vertically opposite, triangle and full turn.
Review before a test
A mixed sheet puts all three skills on one page, in separate sections with their own instructions.
Examples to try
Naming, Easy
Nine angles such as 40°, 90° and 130°, each with a blank for acute, right or obtuse.
Measuring, Standard
One ray on the left 0, so the angle is read on the outer scale: a common place to misread 60° as 120°.
Measuring, Challenge
Rays at 25° and 110°: the angle is 110 − 25 = 85°.
Missing angle, Standard
A triangle with 65° and 48°: x = 180 − 65 − 48 = 67°.
Around a point, Challenge
Angles of 120° and 95° around a point: x = 360 − 120 − 95 = 145°.
Tips for better results
Check the scale first
On the measuring sheet, ask students to find which 0 their first ray passes through before reading the number.
Estimate before measuring
Is it smaller or bigger than a right angle? An estimate catches most outer-scale mistakes.
Work it out, don't measure
The missing-angle figures are drawn to scale, but the instruction asks students to calculate: the answer should come from the angle facts.
Print at 100%
The protractors and angles are true to size, so students can check them with a real protractor.
How the angles worksheet generator works
Each sheet is generated from a seed, so the same settings always give the same sheet and Regenerate worksheet gives a different one. Angles are multiples of 10° at Easy and of 5° at Standard; at Challenge, missing angles can be any whole number of degrees, while angles to name or measure stay in fives so they can be read on paper.
Every figure is drawn to scale: the rays of a 65° angle really meet at 65°. A triangle is built from its two base angles, so its third angle is exactly 180° minus the other two. Answers are checked by unit tests for thousands of generated sheets.

Frequently asked questions
What grade is this for?
Naming angles is usually taught around grade 4, measuring with a protractor in grades 4 and 5, and missing angles in grades 5 to 7. Use the level to match your class.
Are the angles drawn accurately?
Yes. Every angle and protractor is drawn to its true size, so printed at 100% it can be checked with a real protractor.
Why does the protractor have two scales?
Like a real protractor, the inner scale starts at 0 on the right and the outer scale at 0 on the left. Reading the wrong scale is the most common protractor mistake, which is why Standard uses both.
What is a reflex angle?
An angle bigger than 180° and smaller than 360°. Reflex angles appear only at the Challenge level.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. It prints on its own page and shows the angle name or size for every problem.
