Story Detective Game
Play a free reading comprehension game where students solve gentle story cases by choosing answers and supporting clues. Read a short case file, then complete four detective missions: find a detail, put events in order, make an inference, and choose the meaning of a word. Every mission asks for an answer and a clue card from the story, and each one includes a short explanation afterward. It's a calm, case-file-style way to build reading comprehension skills, with no sign-up and nothing saved.

Read the whole case file first

Reread after a wrong answer
A wrong answer just means it's time to look back at the case file, not a failure.
Use the explanation
Every mission shows a short explanation afterward — it's worth reading even after a correct answer.

How the story detective game works
Each case is a short, original story followed by four detective missions: find a detail, put events in order, make an inference, and choose the meaning of a word or phrase from context. For every mission, you choose both an answer and a clue card from the story that supports it.
Submitting checks the answer first. A wrong answer stays calm and lets you try again after rereading. Once the answer is right, the clue choice sets the score: right answer and right clue on the first try earns 3 stars, a right answer with the wrong clue (or a right answer after one retry) earns 2 stars, and a right answer after more retries earns 1 star. Every mission ends with a short explanation that points back to the story.
Everything runs on your device. There is no AI, no audio, and no score saving in this version, just a calm case-file game you can play as many times as you like, for free.
